art space opened its doors in November of 2004 in the Queen
West Gallery District of Toronto, Canada. The project was developed
by artist /teacher Sandra
Tarantino and artist Ross
Bonfanti as a space to foster creativity in the community.
C1 art space houses a variety of activities with
the aim of being an approachable and welcoming environment for people
to visit. This includes an art gallery, art school and clay studio.
C1 art space Gallery
showcases an assortment of unique fine art and craft pieces including
works in ceramic, textiles, glass, mixed media,drawing, painting and
more. The space provides exposure for emerging and mid-career artists.
C1 art space Art School staff
consists of qualified, professional artists with teaching background
and experience. Classes and workshops featured at the space attract
people from various backgrounds including families sharing special
time together, adults looking to learn how artists do what they do,
to other artists looking to enhance their skills. Available art classes
include clay, sculpture, mosaic, painting, mixed media, encaustic,
silk-screening, sewing and more for adults, teens and kids. Special
