C1 art space seeks all things Canadian and handmade from craft, ceramic, mixed media, sculpture and jewellery as well as artist t-shirts, accessories, books, cards and more on a consignment basis.

Call for 2008 Feature Exhibits

Cut and Paste
April 5-27, 2008
This month will feature mixed media works incorporating collage and assemblage techniques.
Drop off: Sunday, March 30 or prior

All Dolled Up
May 2-25, 2008
Opening Reception: Friday, May 2 at 7pm
 ‘All Dolled Up’ will feature figurative works, soft sculpture and mixed media pieces touching on all things whimsical or peculiar.
Drop off: Sunday, April 20 or prior

Yard Sale
June 7-July 20, 2008
You’ve decorated every inch of your living space, now it’s time to spruce up your yard with original creations.  Wood, metal, concrete and more these works of art are for the outdoors!
Drop off: Sunday, May 18 or prior

Artist T-Shirts and Tops
July 25-August 31, 2008
Opening Reception: Friday, July 25 at 7pm
Wearable art!  This show will feature originally designed artist t-shirts and apparel.  From cute and quirky to witty and weird, there will be a variety of styles to suit all.
Drop off: Friday, July 18 or prior

Firing Squad
Sept 5-28, 2008
Opening Reception: Friday, Sept 5 at 7pm
Ceramics – Functional and Sculptural , this exhibit will feature creations in clay.
Drop off: Sunday, Aug 24 or prior

All Hallows
Oct 3-Nov 2, 2008
Monsters under the bed and things that go bump in the night …this eclectic mix of artworks and small items will feature decorative masks, mixed media, assemblage, and other.
Drop off: Sunday ,Sept 21 or prior

Shelf Project
Nov 14-January 31
Opening  Reception: Friday, Nov 15 at 7pm
A rotating exhibition of artworks created by artists from across Canada, including ceramics, textiles, glass, jewellery, mixed media, drawings, paintings as well as artist T-shirts and an assortment of handmade ornaments.  Works in the show will be priced affordably from $5 - $300.
Drop off: Sunday, Nov 2 or prior

Submission Procedure

Submissions are accepted on an ongoing basis for general works for the gallery/art shop.  If you are applying to a Feature Exhibit, please send sample images of works for consideration at least one month prior to the exhibit.
